I'm listening to the Rally Monte Carlo on World Rally Radio. It's almost 9 am here, it's almost 4 pm there. so weird. too bad the tv coverage won't be on for six more days.

Humor from my friends page:

2. Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

11. In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

The rest here
DUDE! I sent the people in Monte Carlo (the people on the internet radio station that's covering the Rally) an e-mail. Not only did they read it, but they said my name was cool! :-)
Interesting stuff about Speed Channel's World Rally Championship coverage this year and the fact that I've been exchanging e-mails with the President of Speed Channel...behind the cutCollapse )
This is why I read squarecircle's journal.
OOOOOOOOOOHHH! I just found out that two guys from the Samples are doing an acoustic tour and that they will be in Kansas City Monday night!!

First night of class.... ahh, screw that :-)
Last time I saw the Samples, it was in Lawrence at the Grenada. I posted about that, talking about the annoying drunk people and stuff. I said something about wishing I could see them in a different venue. Well, now I have my chance to do that. They are playing in a tiny little bar in Kansas City called the Hurricane. I've been there once before, helping my buddy Shea (hypersynthetix) with a gig he had there. It's not the whole band (I think they split up), it's just two of the guys doing an acoustic show. But one of them is Sean Kelly, who as I said before basically *is* the Samples.

The more I think about this the more I want to go. Who lives in Kansas City that Tandra and I can stay with Monday night?
Funny things I've encountered today:

Was the sorcerer stoned? New York City drug dealers, who last year distributed Osama bin Laden brand heroin, are now peddling Harry Potter Ecstasy pills. Kids of all ages will want to collect 'em:

and this: Make your own Bush Speech
(that is fucking hilarious)
