Well, it finally happened. I didn't want to post about it because I started thinking maybe I was jinxing myself by getting all excited, but yesterday afternoon I left work early and we went and got slideways pictures. Not very many, and they're in black and white, but we got them. They're for Miah's photography class so I hope to see prints or contact sheets tomorrow night. :-)

I think this is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Went slip-sliding around at lunch today. Found a couple really nice corners in a residential area which weren't blind 4-way intersections like most of them are. It was a street that went around the perimeter of a parking lot. One corner was about 110 degrees and the other was about 70. The beautiful thing is that they aren't intersections and the only thing between them is a parking lot, so you can easily see if there is other traffic coming from a good distance. Good times.

for you slideways fiends

Miah has already furnished me with one slideways shot.

Keep in mind that the negatives and the print were developed by a guy taking his first photography class.

Also it was blown up and cropped quite a bit. I used Photoshop to despeckle and add a little bit of contrast, and to greyscale the scan.
