Dammit dammit dammit!!!

I've been pulling for Ruben ALL SEASON LONG! I wanted him to kick my ass! But noooooo, gay boy Clay had to get in there and sing my favorite song ever as his finale and even more, he had to just effing nail it. Do I vote for Ruben because he's been my consistent favorite all season, or do I vote for Clay because in the final competition, the most important one, he just slayed Ruben?

So I didn't vote at all. I don't think I had an option that would have left me with a clear conscience.

(No, I don't *really* take it *that* seriously.)

(Ok, maybe a little bit)

So yesterday I read about a new technique for doing uber-closeup macro shots. A technique for which I already have pretty good equipment, maybe a $15 adapter is all I need. I went home and tried it out and it is unbelievable. I have the equipment to, in enough light, make a space that is roughly three to four millimeters wide take up the entire field of view. That's with SLR, lenses and film, not digital. It's pretty fucking amazing. I'm excited to get some good ubermacro shots in.

Um, to give you some idea of scale, that would be roughly the size of three hyphens in size 10 or 12 point. -- A 4 x 6 print of an image where that bit of punctuation takes up the entire thing. I don't know that I'll ever get to use it that close up though, the vignetting is pretty awful, but it's cool to know I could if I wanted to.
