A month or two ago my boss bought 17" flat panel monitors for everyone. It was a nice gesture, but I turned him down in favor of keeping my enormous 19" tube monitor. I didn't want to downgrade to 17". I told him so and he was like "are you serious?" And I said "I sure am. If you want to get me a 19" flat panel monitor though, I'll take it!" He said, "We'll see."

Yesterday he brought me one. It actually has a 19" viewing area instead of the 18" viewing area of my last monitor, so it truly is bigger. It's pretty nice.
